Beeb tells Take That: You are Strictly not welcome

09/11/2008
TAKE THAT have been BANNED from appearing on Strictly Come Dancing after they agreed to go on X Factor.
On Wednesday, Gary Barlow, right, and the lads were booked to perform single Greatest Day on the November 30 Strictly. But 24 hours later they ran into trouble when they agreed to appear on a Take That X Factor on November 22.
Beeb bosses cancelled the Strictly slot.
A spokesman said: “Strictly Come Dancing always offers its viewers something different to other shows.”
Take That are on BBC1’s Children in Need on November 14.

What a shame - Take That would have brought so many extra viewers, and some brilliant entertainment to Strictly. Don't the BBC realise just how popular they are with viewers of all ages?
Just as well that ITV are more tuned in with what we enjoy watching!!

BBC's LOSS!! Wonder which show will have the most views when Take That appear.
Take That have made a fantastic comeback and I certainly would watch the show which has Take That in it.
The BBC would rather have the likes of arrogant Jonathan Ross who should have been sacked.

this is what is wrong with the bbc take that are good role models for the young they work hard are polite and dont swear all the time trying to be cool !
and do the bbc support them no !!!!! they ban them because they sometimes go on other channels!!!!after the ross brand mess you would have thought they would have learnt to listen to the viewers but no they take our money and put on filth pretending to be comedy not quality programming!!!!!!!!

BIG MISTAKE BBC i want to see take that and if i have to watch itv to do it i will !
why am i paying my licence fee to russ brand and j ross insteed for rude and disgusting behaviour to an old man!
the bbc is so out of touch with the public its laughable and its time the licence fee was shared with the other channels

What the hell do the BEEB know anyway - they employ the likes of Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand - they don't know what people want.
By JULIE BROWN. Posted November 9 2008 at 1:13 PM.
Oh what a shame and that would have been the one and only time i would have watched strictly
big mistake BBC1!!
By nikki. Posted November 9 2008 at 12:11 PM.
Huge mistake IMO... but hey, what do I know? Get a grip, BBC!!!!
By Christel. Posted November 9 2008 at 12:04 PM.
What a big mistake, Take That always means more audience, so I feel very pity for the BBC,what a loss, no Take That on such a nice show, well I shouldn't care because I can't see English tv channels, but it is really a pity.

It's about time that the BBC relinquished it's grip on the nation. I haven't watched BBC for years. Yet i still have to pay my licence fee every year. Seems a bit unfair to me. Maybe i should have to pay road tax as well even though i don't drive.
The BBC is so out of touch its pitiful. They seem to go out of their way to behave like a spoilt brat.

Big mistake Beeb.. BIG mistake!
By Corri. Posted November 9 2008 at 10:14 AM.
It just shows how pathetic the BBC are, and how petty, just because they want to offer viewers something "different", I pay my licence and would love to see Take That on any show like thousands more,
By LIsa. Posted November 9 2008 at 9:50 AM.
Its no surprise . The Beeb bosses are so out of touch with the vast majority of viewers, perhaps they are planning a Ross/Brand musical interlude instead. Most people would love to see Take That on both shows. The sooner the BBC moves to Manchester , the sooner some common sense may be injected into this licence payer kept organisation. Roll on !
By margaret j. Posted November 9 2008 at 8:36 AM.
Thats a shame, but strictly is the same as xfactor apart from the judges are more mean on strictly. I can't see why they can't appear on both shows, i certainly will watch any show that has take that performing, so will other fans. AS Gary and Cheryl are pals, he had no option to accept X factor as well.
